My goal was to achieve photorealism with my art, creating images as realistic as black and white photographs, which I’ve always loved for their simplicity. But as my skills improved, I realized this approach didn’t reflect my unique style.

In this series, the emphasis was on the face and tattoos of my subjects. Gradually in each portrait I began removing anything superfluous to catch the essence and personality of my subjects.
